Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run your business page and the tools around it. We do not sell your data. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Business pages and review pages do not set tracking cookies for visitors.

When you create and manage a page, we collect:

• Your first name, email address, and WhatsApp number, used to create your account and sign you in
• Your business details: name, address, phone, hours, category, photos, and other listing information, much of it pulled from your Google Maps listing at your request
• Content you upload or write: photos, menus, price lists, links, and page text

During registration we may ask for your device location to suggest your city and country code. This is optional, and your coordinates are used only for that suggestion. They are not stored.

Your personal contact details are never shown on your public page unless you choose to display them, for example by setting a business WhatsApp number or turning on your public email.

When you scan a review QR code at a business, the only thing we require is your star rating. Everything else is your choice:

• Written feedback is optional
• Your name, email, or phone number are collected only if you ask the business to contact you or join their newsletter

This information is stored on behalf of the business you reviewed, and the business can see it. If you ask to be contacted, we send your feedback and contact details to the business owner by email so they can reach you.

If you use a contact form on a business page, your name, email, and message are sent to that business by email.

We count simple, anonymous usage events for the business owner: page views, taps on WhatsApp, phone, or directions buttons, QR scans, and review submissions. These events are not linked to you. We do not record your IP address, device details, or anything that identifies you, and we do not use any third-party analytics or advertising services.

Business owners get a sign-in cookie when they log in to their dashboard. That is what keeps you logged in and it works across syte.cc and app.syte.cc.

Visitors to business pages and review pages do not get tracking cookies. The review page remembers your language choice in your browser for the duration of your visit only.

The one third-party script we load anywhere is Paddle's checkout, and it loads only on the plan page inside a business owner's own dashboard. Business pages and review pages load no third-party scripts at all.

Syte runs on trusted service providers. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:

• Google (Maps and Places): we look up your business listing to build your page, sending your search terms or Maps link
• Anthropic: our AI writes your page from your business details and public Google reviews. Customer contact details are never sent to the AI
• Supabase: our database, sign-in system, and file storage
• Vercel: hosts the website
• Resend: delivers our emails, such as login codes and review notifications
• Paddle: our merchant of record for paid plans, used for checkout and billing only. If you buy Plus or Pro, Paddle receives your email address and your billing country, and you enter your payment details directly into Paddle's checkout. Syte never sees or stores your card number. Paddle's checkout script loads only on your dashboard billing page, never on a business page or a review page
• GetSorted: our bug and feedback reporting service, receives reports you choose to submit from your dashboard, including your business name and email so we can follow up
• Cloudflare: manages our domain names

• Sell your data or your customers' data
• Run third-party advertising or tracking scripts
• Contact your customers for our own marketing
• Show your personal contact details publicly without your choice

You can delete your account and page yourself from your account settings, confirmed with a code sent to your email. Your page goes offline immediately, and everything is permanently deleted after 30 days, including your account, business details, uploads, analytics, and customer reviews.

After deletion, we keep your email address and WhatsApp number on a block list for 30 days to prevent abuse of the free service. These records are then removed.

If you start registering but do not finish, the details you entered expire after 24 hours.

Business owners can edit or delete their information at any time from the dashboard, or delete their entire account as described above.

If you left a review and want your details removed, you can ask the business directly or email us and we will take care of it.

Syte serves businesses across Southeast Asia and other regions. Our service providers may store and process data on servers outside your country. By using Syte you understand that your information is handled this way.

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes that affect how your data is handled will be communicated to business owners.
